š®ļø Battlefield 6 Is SMASHING Expectations
Battlefield 6 smashes expectations, EAās massive buyout gets messy, and the rest of the industry scrambles to keep up.
Good morning!
Welcome to all the new recruits from Septemberās giveaway - glad to have you on board! Keep an eye on your inboxes, because that PS5 Pro winner announcement is coming soon.
The Battlefield 6 launch was so explosive it almost took out EAās servers (and maybe a few friendships). But once the smoke cleared, it became obvious, this thing slaps. Itās smooth, itās chaotic, and itās got Call of Duty nervously sweating through its branded energy drink.
In this edition, weāve got:
Battlefield 6 breaking records and breaking expectations
EAās $55 billion deal drama turning into a full-blown political soap opera
And PokƩmon leaks, Destiny lows, and Halo heartbreak keeping the week spicy
Grab your coffee, load your clips, and scroll on, hereās everything you need to know this week in the world of gaming.
TOP STORY
š® Battlefield 6 Is SMASHING Expectations
Launch day chaos? Oh yeah, EAās servers exploded harder than a C4 pack on a tank. But once the dust settled, Battlefield 6 started running smoother than a freshly waxed Humvee. Steamās version became the place to play, with over 700,000 players storming the gates on day one.
And the best part? It works. The game looks gorgeous, runs silky smooth on even low-end rigs, and the destructible environments are back doing what they do best, turning skyscrapers into dust. When the biggest complaint is āI canāt log in fast enough,ā you know youāve got a hit.
Custom server filters are back, baby. You can actually pick the modes and maps you want. (Revolutionary concept in 2025, I know.) And that simple feature is already making Call of Duty sweat. Even Activisionās tweaking lobbies and matchmaking now, competition does funny things to the lazy.
But the Battlefield vs. Call of Duty culture war is heating up. Some veterans are worried the CoD crowd will bring their ābrain-rotā energy over, think less tactics, more Teletubby skins and TikTok taunts. Letās hope Battlefield stays classy.
Meanwhile, EAās $55 billion Saudi buyout looms in the background. Translation: expect more AI tools, tighter budgets, and probably a few too many AI-generated wallpapers pretending to be āauthentic art.ā
Still, credit where itās due. Battlefield 6 runs like a dream, feels fresh, and finally gives FPS fans some real competition again. After years of half-baked ports and brainless shooters, this oneās a legit banger.
Now excuse me while I go blow up another rooftop. š£
